I've always been interested in how clothes and fashion make you look and feel. I had a fabulous fashionable mum and grew up shopping with her. Always looking for that individuality, enjoying the whole shopping experience together.

I left a corporate career and became a stylist and for 7 years sorted wardrobes, did colour analysis, hosted retail events with the likes of House of Fraser, Anthroplogie, Oliver Bonas & LK Bennet but the personal shopping service I provided got much harder. It became difficult to find a great shopping experience for my clients so I set up rosypenguin in 2017.

East Market street has become a hub of independent retailers opening
specialist shops, cafes, Bars and restaurants a hop skip and a jump from
Waverley station. Just amble along the cobbled streets against the
sweeping backdrop of beautiful Carlton Hill.  The rich history of this
city hangs in the air amongst the medieval architecture of the arches.
This little pocket of the city almost feels like a quaint village
offering a magical historical experience peppered with charming new
independent businesses. A must see for anyone visiting edinburgh.
